June Newsletter
It’s Summertime! We just celebrated Memorial Day, the unofficial kick-off for summer. As Covid restrictions loosen it is exciting to see the activity around the church! We have baptized 4 people already with at least 4 more scheduled at Flint Creek for Sunday June 20. We have seven kids at Camp Siloam as I type. Monday, June 28th, we start a four-day Vacation Bible School. It’s wonderful to see kids involved and their lives impacted for Christ. Then we have a “Youth Retreat” July 23-25 at Sky Ranch in Oklahoma.
Cornerstone has a great heart for Missions. Every year the budget provides for SBC Missionaries between Cooperative Funds. Everyone continues to amaze me with their generosity to Annie Armstrong, Dixie Jackson and Lottie Moon Fund donations. This summer we are working on two mission trips, June 27-30 in Sisseton, SD, and August 7-15 in Portland, OR. It’s also time to start picking up items for Christmas Shoeboxes. The item to collect for June is “Jump Ropes”.
A couple other dates to put on your calendar – July 16, 17 men are planning a trip to Dallas for a Promise Keepers event and August 21- 22 we are celebrating the church’s 25th. anniversary.
We Livestream our services on Facebook and YouTube, and continue our traditional services Sundays at 11:00 AM, Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM we continue Youth and Adult prayer meeting/Bible study. Online giving is available at Givelify.com
