It’s been a while since I wrote . We have had a wonderful, busy summer. Four of us (Pastor Rob, Barbara Matney, Beth Baker, and Dyann Tisdale) were blessed to travel to Israel in May. It was a life changing event. The ability to walk where David, Joshua, Peter, Paul, and Jesus walked was eye opening and humbling.
As soon as we returned, the church went right into our Vacation Bible School (Jerusalem Market place) it was a wonderful week. It is fun seeing the church get back into pre-covid routine. We were able to take two groups of kids to Camp Siloam for church camp and saw four girls give their lives to Christ – Thank You Bonnie Mitchum and Beth Baker for organizing this year. Cornerstone has always had a heart for missions. This summer we had a team that went to South Dakota and worked at Bethany Baptist Church, where they worked on the building and held “Backyard Bible Club.”
The church has a lot going on this fall:
- Food Pantry Giveaway every Saturday
- Country Gospel Singing August 28 at 5:00 PM
- Movie Night September 17 at 7:00 (outside if possible)
- Revival with Pastor Scott Hobbs October 2-5
Now that school is back in session, Youth and AWANA start back Wednesdays at 6:00 PM in addition to an adult prayer meeting/Bible study.
If you have not been in Cornerstone lately, you have been missed! You are invited back to church for worship, fellowship, service, and spiritual growth. Come help us reach our neighbors for Christ.
Services start with Sunday School at 10:00 AM, Worship at 11:00 AM, Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM. You can join us online Sunday mornings at our YouTube page, as well as other messages uploaded throughout the week on our YouTube and Facebook accounts. Online giving is available at Givelify.com
